Acceptable Use Policy
Effective date:
StormGTM exists to help people and agents contact the right person, lawfully and without wasting anyone's inbox. This policy applies to everyone who uses the Service, including AI agents acting for you, and is part of our Terms of Service.
You must not use StormGTM to
- Send spam. Do not use results to send unsolicited bulk email, or to clean lists so that unsolicited bulk email can evade bounce and spam filters.
- Check purchased, rented, or scraped lists without a consent or lawful basis. Buying a list does not give you permission to email the people on it. You need consent or another basis valid where your recipients live.
- Harass, stalk, or intimidate anyone, or find, confirm, or expose a private person's contact details against their wishes.
- Run illegal outreach, including phishing, fraud, impersonation, malware, deceptive subject lines or headers, or promotion of illegal goods and services.
- Target sensitive groups unlawfully, such as profiling people by health, religion, sexuality, or political views, or contacting minors.
- Abuse the probe. Do not use the Service to enumerate every mailbox at a domain, test addresses you invented at random, or attack, overload, or map anyone's mail infrastructure.
- Evade our limits or controls, including by sharing keys, creating accounts to collect free credits repeatedly, or bypassing rate limits.
You must
- Comply with CAN-SPAM for commercial email to US recipients: accurate headers and subject lines, your physical postal address, a working opt-out, and opt-outs honored within 10 business days.
- Comply with the GDPR and UK GDPR when you process data about people in the EEA or UK, including having a lawful basis, giving the notice required by Article 14 when you collect data from sources other than the person, and honoring objections to direct marketing.
- Follow other laws that apply to you and your recipients, such as CASL in Canada, the ePrivacy rules in the EU, and the CCPA in California.
- Keep suppression lists and never re-check or re-contact someone who has opted out or asked to be forgotten.
- Supervise your agents. If an AI agent uses StormGTM for you, give it rules that keep it inside this policy. You are responsible for what it does.
Enforcement
We monitor for abuse, such as unusual volumes, patterns that look like mailbox enumeration, or complaints from mail providers. If we believe you have broken this policy we may throttle, suspend, or close your account and forfeit credits used in the violation. Where practical we will contact you first. We cooperate with lawful requests from authorities and with mailbox providers investigating abuse.
